RYA DAY SKIPPER ALL IN ONE – 10 DAYS

Complete the Combined RYA Day Skipper Course in Caernarfon, Wales!

The course starts on the Friday morning.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday (3 days classroom)
Sunday evening – Friday afternoon (5 days practical)
Saturday/Sunday (2 days classroom)

Develop your sailing skills, experience and knowledge on this extended course that combines both the RYA Day Skipper practical and theory courses.

What’s included
– Meals onboard: The boat will be stocked to provide three meals per day as well as snacks and drinks. If you have any special dietary requirements please note them when booking.
– The Yacht: 38ft Hanse 385 . Commercially coded by RYA/MCA as category 2 compliant the yacht can carry 6 people including the Skipper. Facilities onboard include; heating, hot water, cooker, fridge, toilet, Radar, GPS and AIS.
Please note accommodation and catering is included for the duration of the 10 days. You may check in on the Thursday night before the theory aspect begins, all meals are included from Thursday evening onwards in both the centre and on the Yacht

Highlights

Key learning points: navigation and pilotage, preparation of sea, rules of the road, sail handling, skippering responsibilities, man overboard recovery, emergency equipment and precautions, engine maintenance, passage planning, night sailing and meteorology

Restrictions
Day Skipper requires at least 5 days on-the-water sailing experience including 4 night hours and 100 miles logged.
