Under 16 Sailing

During the two-day course, our primary focus is to maximize water time, ensuring hands-on experience while also covering key theoretical concepts in an efficient and engaging manner. Our friendly and experienced instructors will guide participants every step of the way, providing clear instruction, encouragement, and a positive learning environment.

This course is designed for sailors aged between 8 and 16 who have already completed Stage 1 or have some prior sailing experience. The RYA Improver Sailing Stage 2 course aims to build confidence and help sailors progress to a competent standard in moderate wind conditions.

Build your confidence and develop the skills needed to sail in different directions in moderate conditions, solving a variety of problems afloat and possibly an introduction to trying out different boats.

Two-day course focuses on advanced rigging, theory, core skills, and essential maneuvers like man overboard and coming alongside. Learn launching, landing, all points of sail, course sailing, capsize recovery, and potential experience with different boats for independent sailing.
