Master Coastal Powerboating in Caernarfon!

You will cover navigation at planning speed, weather and other aspects of skippering a powerboat, as well as undertaking a night time passage, enabling you to plan and execute coastal trips and return to a familiar port by night. Preparation for sea, boat handling, passage making and responsibilities as a skipper, pilotage, meteorology, rules of the road, use of engines, emergency situations and night cruising.

Itinerary
This course begins at 9:15 finishes at 5:30 on day one and the same on day two. The night excersie day will be explained to the customer upon briefing by the instructor.

Highlights
This certificate cannot be commercially endorsed. If you require the commercial endorsement you will need to go on to complete the Advanced Powerboat Certificate of Competent (exam). If you wish to undertake the exam please get in touch, and we will endeavour to organise a date.

Check-in details
Please arrive at the centre 15 minutes before your session in time for a briefing.

What to bring
– Hat, Gloves, wellies/shoes (that may get wet)
– Head torch (for night navigation exercise)
– Hot drinks and food, suitable warm clothing to wear under our waterproofs
Restrictions 
Skills up to RYA Intermediate Powerboat level, knowledge of navigation up to at least Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster theory level. It is also strongly recommended that you hold a valid first aid certificate and VHF Radio Operators License
