Learn Watercraft Rescue & Recovery in Caernarfon!

Over the two day course you will learn how to safely rescue and recover a variety of watercraft as well as how to set up and manage tows.

What’s included
– RYA intermediate powerboat certificate, all personal protective clothing including buoyancy aids and helmets.
What’s not included
– Hot Drinks and food
Itinerary
This course begins at 9:15 and finishes at 5:00, there is an hour break for lunch during the course.
Highlights
Preparation, boat handling, dinghy, windsurf, kayak and canoe rescue. Towing end of day procedures, safety and suitability of craft. Local factors, communication and rescuing of other water users.

Please arrive at the centre 15 minutes before your session in time for a briefing.
What to bring
– Suitable warm clothing to wear
– Hat, gloves and sun screen
– Wellies or Shoes you don’t mind getting wet
– The nature of the safety boat course means participants should be prepared to get wet, wetsuits will be provided.
Restrictions
Minimum age of 16 years old, certificate will be endorsed accordingly to under 18’s. RYA PB2 and a basic understanding of sailing boats and windsurfing.
